Paris, France – Swave Photonics, an emerging leader in holographic display technologies, has successfully raised $28.3 million in its Series A funding round to accelerate the development of its cutting-edge 3D holographic display technology. This new investment will support the company’s efforts to enhance its innovative holographic systems and bring next-generation visual experiences to a variety of industries, including entertainment, healthcare, and automotive.

The Series A round was led by Samsung Ventures, with participation from Kima Ventures, BPI France, and several other prominent investors. Swave Photonics specializes in creating high-quality, interactive 3D holographic displays that do not require special glasses or headsets, offering immersive and lifelike visual experiences. This technology has the potential to revolutionize how users interact with digital content in both professional and consumer environments.

“We’re thrilled to receive this investment and the confidence of our investors as we continue to refine and scale our holographic display technology,” said Thibaud Dupuy, CEO of Swave Photonics. “The funding will allow us to expand our R&D efforts, enhance product capabilities, and meet growing demand across multiple sectors, from immersive gaming and virtual collaboration to medical imaging and autonomous vehicles.”

Swave Photonics’ technology utilizes advanced light field displays and proprietary optical components to produce 3D holograms with unmatched clarity and depth, opening up new possibilities for immersive digital experiences. The company has already made significant progress in transforming traditional 2D displays into dynamic 3D visuals, and the new funding will help bring its products to market at a larger scale.

The demand for holographic technology has been rapidly increasing, driven by industries seeking to offer more engaging user interfaces, improve training simulations, and create groundbreaking entertainment experiences. With this new investment, Swave Photonics aims to expand its capabilities, improve production scalability, and introduce commercial solutions that can seamlessly integrate with existing technology ecosystems.

“We believe that Swave Photonics is well-positioned to lead the way in the next phase of visual technology innovation,” said Jinwoo Lee, Managing Director at Samsung Ventures. “Their holographic display technology has the potential to fundamentally change how we interact with digital content and we’re excited to support them in this journey.”
