Relixir Raises $2M Seed Round Led by Y Combinator to Power AI Search Inbound Growth

Relixir, a San Francisco-based AI search inbound engine, has closed a $2 million seed funding round as it looks to scale its platform for the rapidly evolving AI-driven search landscape. The round was led by Y Combinator, the prominent startup accelerator known for backing early-stage technology companies, with participation from z21 Ventures, 468 Capital, DG Daiwa Ventures, and angel investor Vijay Krishnan, founder of Turing.

The newly raised capital will be used to expand Relixir’s product capabilities, grow its team, and further develop its AI search inbound engine. The platform is designed to help companies increase visibility and inbound lead generation as generative AI tools increasingly influence how users discover products and services online. Rather than focusing solely on traditional search engine optimization, Relixir targets visibility within AI-generated answers, where large language models cite and recommend sources directly to users.

Founded in early 2025, Relixir was created by CEO Sean Dorje and CTO Dennis Zax with the goal of building what they describe as a Generative Engine Optimization platform. The company focuses on helping brands understand how they appear across AI search experiences and on enabling them to create content that is more likely to be referenced by AI systems. By tracking AI citations and automating optimized content creation, Relixir aims to convert AI-driven discovery into measurable inbound demand.

Since launching its platform, Relixir has gained traction among fast-growing companies across multiple industries, including SaaS, healthcare, fintech, and e-commerce. The company reports that its technology has already contributed to more than 10,000 inbound leads for over 200 customers. This early adoption has helped position Relixir as a player in the emerging AI-native marketing infrastructure category.

The seed round was described as oversubscribed, reflecting growing investor interest in tools that address the shift from keyword-based search to AI-generated answers.
