Quanta Raises $15M Series A to Expand AI-Powered Accounting and Real-Time Financial Reporting

Quanta, a San Francisco–based AI-powered accounting and finance platform designed to automate bookkeeping and financial operations for software businesses, has raised $15 million in Series A funding to expand its product capabilities, scale operations and accelerate development of its advanced financial reporting tools. The round follows Quanta’s earlier $4.7 million seed financing and coincides with the launch of Prism, the company’s new AI-powered reporting layer that builds on its core accounting engine.

The Series A financing was led by Accel, a global venture capital firm known for backing high-growth technology companies. Participation came from a group of seasoned investors including Operator Collective, Naval Ravikant, well-known entrepreneur and angel investor, Designer Fund, Basecase, and influential operators such as Akshay Kothari (formerly of Notion), Claire Hughes Johnson (Stripe), and Huey Lin (Affirm). This syndicate reflects strong confidence in Quanta’s vision to modernize financial operations for fast-growing companies and deliver real-time, intelligent accounting infrastructure.

Quanta was founded with a mission to simplify and automate the financial workflows that often burden startups and scaling businesses. Under the leadership of CEO Helen Hastings, the company has built an accounting platform that combines an automated general ledger, live reconciliation, and continuous data validation with AI-driven insights. The technology ingests financial activity from various sources—such as banks, payroll systems, revenue processors and expense tools—and converts complex transaction data into accurate, up-to-date financial records without manual intervention.

The introduction of Prism, the new analytical and reporting layer of the Quanta platform, marks a major milestone for the company. Prism is designed to provide business leaders and finance teams with explainable, real-time insights into financial performance and trends, transforming how accounting information is delivered and consumed. By surfacing key metrics and narratives directly from the accounting system, Quanta aims to help companies make faster, more informed decisions without waiting for traditional month-end close cycles.

Quanta’s Series A funding will be deployed to further enhance its platform’s AI capabilities, expand its suite of tools for financial planning and reporting, and grow its expert services team. The company also intends to deepen integrations with major financial systems and expand its product footprint to better serve a broader range of enterprise customers and embedded finance partners. In addition, part of the capital will go toward scaling Quanta’s commercial and customer success teams to support adoption among high-growth startups and established enterprises alike.

Since its initial seed round in early 2025, Quanta has gained traction as a modern alternative to traditional accounting software and services. Its platform not only automates complex bookkeeping tasks often done manually by finance teams, but also provides contextual insights that help teams understand financial health in real time. By eliminating routine data entry and reconciliation work, Quanta’s technology frees finance professionals to focus on strategic analysis and business planning.

The company’s approach contrasts with legacy systems that often require extensive customization and manual oversight, particularly for fast-moving startups with decentralized financial stacks. Quanta’s automated engine continuously reconciles books, enforces compliance policies, and integrates seamlessly with customers’ existing tools, making it especially attractive to technology companies that need accurate, real-time financial information to support rapid scaling.

Investors backing the Series A round have highlighted both the technical strength of Quanta’s platform and the market opportunity for AI-enabled accounting solutions. Accel, in particular, has a long history of investing in foundational software platforms and believes Quanta’s blend of automation, AI and real-time reporting can redefine how businesses manage their finances. Strategic angel investors and operators joining the round bring deep experience in scaling technology companies and underscore the confidence in Quanta’s leadership and product strategy.

With its Series A funding secured and Prism now launched, Quanta is positioned to expand its impact across the accounting and finance technology landscape. As companies increasingly seek tools that combine automation with actionable insights, Quanta’s platform aims to meet the growing demand for smarter, faster, and more reliable financial infrastructure that supports modern business growth.
