Apptronik Raises $350M Series A to Scale Production of AI-Powered Humanoid Robot Apollo
Apptronik, the Austin-based AI-powered humanoid robotics company, has secured $350 million in Series A funding to scale production of its humanoid robot, Apollo. The round was co-led by B Capital and Capital Factory, with participation from Google.
Founded in 2016 by a team with experience from NASA’s DARPA Robotics Challenge, Apptronik aims to develop versatile humanoid robots capable of performing a wide range of tasks across various industries. The company has already established partnerships with major corporations, including Mercedes-Benz and GXO Logistics, to deploy Apollo in real-world applications.
The new funding will enable Apptronik to accelerate the development and deployment of Apollo, expand its manufacturing capabilities, and meet the growing demand for AI-powered humanoid robots. The company plans to focus on industries such as logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, and eldercare, where humanoid robots can assist with tasks like warehouse operations, assembly lines, and patient care.
Apptronik’s approach combines cutting-edge AI with human-centered design, aiming to create robots that can work alongside humans in meaningful and transformative ways. With this significant investment, Apptronik is poised to lead the charge in the rapidly growing market for humanoid robots.
