Talvy Raises $2 Million Seed Round Led by Link Ventures to Build Video-First AI Hiring Platform

Talvy, a Cambridge-based video-first professional networking platform reimagining traditional resumes through short-form video profiles, has raised $2 million in seed funding as it works to transform how employers evaluate job candidates in an increasingly AI-heavy hiring landscape.

The company builds a recruitment-focused social platform that replaces static CVs with dynamic video profiles, allowing candidates to present their personality, communication style, and experience more directly. Employers can search and evaluate candidates using natural language tools, enabling recruiters to review video-based profiles before initiating interviews. The platform is designed to reduce reliance on text-heavy resumes, which founders argue are becoming less effective due to the rise of AI-generated applications.

Talvy was founded in 2025 by KJ Hardrict, along with a team of MIT, Harvard, Palantir, and Meta alumni. The company is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and positions itself at the intersection of recruitment technology, social media, and AI-driven talent discovery.

The $2 million seed round was led by Link Ventures, a Cambridge-based venture capital firm that invests in early-stage technology startups focused on scalable software, AI applications, and consumer internet platforms. Link Ventures has been actively backing startups that aim to reshape digital interaction layers across hiring, productivity, and communication tools.

According to publicly available information, the funding will be used to expand Talvy’s product development, scale its video infrastructure, and grow its engineering and go-to-market teams as it prepares for broader adoption among employers and recruiters.

Talvy’s platform introduces “video-first professional profiles,” where candidates can upload short-form clips that highlight their skills, experience, and personality. These videos are supplemented by AI-powered search and matching tools that allow hiring teams to filter candidates based on communication style, experience signals, and other qualitative attributes that are not easily captured in traditional resumes.

A key component of Talvy’s growth strategy is “Talvy Spotlight,” a curated program that highlights selected candidates and promotes them directly to hiring managers within its network. This initiative reflects the company’s broader goal of increasing visibility for candidates who may be overlooked by conventional resume screening systems.

The company’s approach is part of a broader trend in hiring technology, where startups are increasingly using AI, video, and social networking features to improve talent discovery and reduce inefficiencies in recruitment pipelines. As application volumes rise and automated resume generation becomes more common, platforms like Talvy aim to reintroduce human signal into early-stage candidate evaluation.

With its latest funding, Talvy plans to accelerate product rollout, deepen integrations with hiring workflows, and expand its user base across both job seekers and employers. The company is also focusing on improving its recommendation and search systems to help recruiters identify strong candidates more efficiently.

As competition intensifies in the talent acquisition technology space, Talvy is positioning itself as a next-generation hiring platform that blends video, AI search, and social networking elements to modernize how professional identity is represented and evaluated in the digital age.
