SuperGears Games Raises $2.1 Million Seed Round to Expand Racing Kingdom Mobile Universe

SuperGears Games, the Istanbul-based mobile game studio founded in 2022 by industry veterans Yasin and Yakup Demirden, has successfully closed a significant $2.1 million seed funding round to accelerate growth of its flagship racing universe and build new titles under its Racing Kingdom brand. The new investment follows an earlier $1.5 million pre-seed round and comes as the company builds momentum with its debut title Racing Kingdom: King of Drag, which launched globally in June 2025 and has since attracted millions of players worldwide.

The $2.1 million seed round was led by Hedef Portföy, a prominent Turkish portfolio management and investment firm, with substantial participation from APY Ventures, one of Turkey’s most active early-stage venture capital firms, and KRAFTON, the South Korean game developer and publisher behind global hits such as PUBG: Battlegrounds. Existing backers also made follow-on investments in the round, highlighting continuing investor confidence in SuperGears’ vision for a connected multi-title mobile racing ecosystem.

Among the returning investors were The TMRW Foundation, the strategic gaming investment vehicle led by industry figure Cevat Yerli, ACK Ventures, Yıldız Tekno GSYO, and individual investors İbrahim Akman and Emre Yıldız, who all participated in the earlier investment round and again signaled support with follow-on contributions.

SuperGears’ first major funding milestone came in late 2023, when it completed its initial investment round led by The TMRW Foundation at a valuation around $10 million. That round brought Cevat Yerli, the creator of renowned franchises such as Far Cry and Crysis, onto SuperGears’ board of directors and included participation from notable figures in the Turkish gaming sector such as Ulaş Karademir, former Vice President of Unity; Genco Alp, co-founder of Ingame Group; and Murat Alagöz, founder of ELA Game Studio. Corporate backers like Yıldız Tekno GSYO, as well as founders like İbrahim Akman and Emre Yıldız, also contributed to the round, reinforcing industry belief in the studio’s potential.

The latest funding will be used to deepen development across the Racing Kingdom universe, expand SuperGears’ portfolio of interconnected racing titles, and enhance the technical and visual fidelity of its games. SuperGears plans to use the fresh capital to push further into the global mobile gaming market, leveraging its premium approach to racing experiences — including next-generation visuals, realistic audio, and cross-genre gameplay that spans drag, drift, off-road and other competitive racing styles.

Racing Kingdom: King of Drag has served as the cornerstone of SuperGears’ strategy, blending immersive single-player progression with competitive multiplayer environments. In a crowded mobile games landscape, the title’s robust uptake — including more than 1.6 million players — offered early validation of the studio’s vision. With the seed funding secured, SuperGears is positioned to broaden its audience while scaling development of new racing experiences that sit within the same universe.

In remarks about the investment, SuperGears co-founder and CEO Yasin Demirden framed the funding as a reflection of investor trust in the company’s long-term vision. He noted that the studio’s goal goes beyond delivering a single standout racing title; instead, SuperGears aims to build a cohesive Racing Kingdom ecosystem in which players can explore multiple interconnected racing game experiences with high-quality gameplay and technology.

The participation of Krafton, a global game developer and publisher, adds strategic weight to the round, giving SuperGears access to deeper industry expertise and potential collaboration opportunities that could support broader market reach. Combined with local investment leadership from Hedef Portföy and early-stage support from APY Ventures, the funding round brings together a mix of domestic and international partners aligned with SuperGears’ ambition.

SuperGears’ funding journey — from its early investment round led by The TMRW Foundation to this recent seed close — highlights a growing trend in which specialist game studios with strong founder pedigrees and compelling product strategies can attract capital from both gaming-focused investors and broader venture partners. The company’s emphasis on building a premium mobile gaming universe places it among a new wave of studios seeking to elevate standards for mobile racing games and compete on a global scale.

With its seed funding in place and development efforts underway for additional racing titles, SuperGears Games is gearing up to expand the Racing Kingdom experience and cement its presence in the mobile gaming ecosystem. The company’s ability to translate its early momentum into sustained player engagement and commercial success will be a key determinant of its future trajectory.
