Spectrum Security, a cybersecurity startup focused on transforming threat detection through artificial intelligence, has emerged from stealth with $19 million in seed funding. The San Francisco-based company will use the capital to accelerate product development, expand its engineering organization, and strengthen its go-to-market efforts as enterprises seek more effective ways to defend against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.

The seed round was led by TechOperators, with participation from WhiteRabbit Ventures, Skinos Ventures, and Alumni Ventures. The financing also included investments from several prominent cybersecurity operators and angel investors, underscoring growing confidence in Spectrum’s approach to automating one of the most critical aspects of modern security operations.

Founded in 2025, Spectrum Security is tackling what it describes as a longstanding gap in enterprise cybersecurity: ensuring organizations can continuously detect threats despite rapidly changing infrastructure and increasingly automated attacks. While companies have invested heavily in collecting security data through security information and event management (SIEM) platforms, endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, and data lakes, Spectrum believes detection engineering has remained largely manual and difficult to scale.

The company has developed an AI-powered platform that automates the creation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of threat detections. Rather than replacing existing security tools, Spectrum integrates with customers’ existing technology stacks and continuously analyzes environments to identify detection gaps. It then generates production-ready detection logic tailored to each organization’s infrastructure and updates those detections as systems evolve.

Spectrum says its platform significantly reduces the amount of manual engineering required to build and maintain effective detection coverage. The newly raised funding will primarily support the expansion of Spectrum’s engineering team and accelerate product innovation as customer demand for AI-driven security capabilities continues to grow. The company also plans to invest in commercial expansion to bring its platform to more enterprise customers facing increasingly complex cyber risks.

The participation of several experienced cybersecurity-focused investors highlights the market’s growing interest in technologies that apply artificial intelligence to security operations. Lead investor TechOperators has a long history of backing enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity companies, while WhiteRabbit Ventures and Skinos Ventures focus on supporting innovative cybersecurity startups. Alumni Ventures, one of the world’s largest venture capital firms by portfolio size, also joined the round, adding further institutional backing.

Skinos Ventures brings additional industry expertise through its founders, cybersecurity entrepreneur Shlomo Kramer and investor Yishay Yovel. Their involvement reflects broader investor confidence that AI can fundamentally improve how organizations detect and respond to cyber threats.
