SetSale Raises $2M Seed Round Led by York IE to Build AI Sales Infrastructure for HVAC Contractors
SetSale, an AI-powered sales enablement platform built for residential HVAC contractors and distributors, has raised a $2 million seed round as it looks to expand its AI-driven pricing, quoting, and supply chain connectivity tools across the home services industry.
The company is developing a unified software layer that replaces traditional HVAC sales workflows—often dependent on spreadsheets, static pricebooks, and fragmented distributor communication—with an AI-native system that generates dynamic, multi-option proposals in real time. By integrating live distributor pricing, inventory availability, rebates, financing options, and equipment compatibility data directly into contractor workflows, SetSale aims to streamline one of the most manual and error-prone parts of HVAC sales.
The seed round was led by York IE, a venture capital and operating firm focused on early-stage SaaS companies. Additional participation came from Palmetto and Finturf, both of which bring strategic alignment with clean energy financing and embedded lending solutions for home improvement contractors. According to reporting on the round, York IE’s investment also includes ongoing operational support as SetSale scales its platform and expands its footprint in the HVAC ecosystem.
SetSale said the capital will be used to deepen its “Distributor Connect” infrastructure, expand ERP integrations, and enhance its AI-powered pricing and margin optimization engine. The company is also focused on growing its network of vendor partnerships, allowing contractors to access more accurate, real-time data on equipment availability, pricing fluctuations, and incentive programs directly within their sales tools. These improvements are intended to help contractors improve close rates, increase average deal size, and protect margins in a highly competitive market.
Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, SetSale is led by CEO Assaf Weinberg. The company positions itself as more than just a quoting tool, instead functioning as a real-time sales infrastructure layer connecting contractors, distributors, and homeowners. Its platform integrates with field service management systems and contractor CRMs, enabling automated proposal generation that reflects current market conditions and distributor inputs.
Early adoption of SetSale’s platform has included partnerships with major HVAC distributors such as Mingledorffs, Winsupply, Koch Air, and Standard Air. These integrations are designed to reduce friction in pricing and product selection while improving visibility for distributors into downstream demand and contractor purchasing behavior. By closing this data gap, SetSale aims to align incentives across the HVAC supply chain and improve efficiency in equipment sales and installation workflows.
The company’s technology is part of a broader wave of AI adoption in vertical software, where startups are targeting legacy industries with highly specialized automation tools. In HVAC sales, where quoting complexity is driven by equipment compatibility, regional rebates, and fluctuating distributor pricing, SetSale’s system seeks to replace manual decision-making with structured, AI-assisted recommendations.
Investors backing the company see the HVAC sector as a large but under-digitized market where software can have an outsized impact on productivity and revenue outcomes. The ability to standardize pricing intelligence and automate proposal generation is viewed as a key lever for improving contractor efficiency while increasing transparency across the supply chain.
With the new funding, SetSale is expected to accelerate hiring across engineering and go-to-market teams while expanding integrations with distributor and contractor systems. The company is also planning deeper expansion into ERP ecosystems and additional partnerships that extend its data network across the residential HVAC industry.
As SetSale scales, it is positioning itself as a foundational infrastructure layer for HVAC sales execution—bringing together pricing, inventory, financing, and AI-driven recommendations into a single system designed to modernize how contractors sell and deliver home comfort solutions.
