Roamless Raises $12M Series A to Scale Global eSIM Connectivity Platform
Roamless, a global mobile connectivity startup focused on simplifying international roaming, has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round as it works toward building what it describes as the world’s first truly global mobile operator. The financing brings the company’s total funding to $18 million and marks a significant step in scaling its proprietary telecom infrastructure and expanding its international footprint.
The Series A round was led by Rasmal Ventures, with participation from Shorooq, Revo Capital, Finberg, and JIMCO. The investor group spans multiple regions, reflecting global interest in next-generation connectivity solutions designed for travelers and internationally mobile users.
Founded in 2023, Roamless was established by a team of telecom industry veterans including Emre Demirel, Ali Gazioglu, Asim Alp, Selim Aykut, Cagdas Yalti, and Cengiz Oztelcan. The company has developed an eSIM-based platform that allows users to access mobile data across more than 200 countries and territories through a single global eSIM. Unlike many competitors, Roamless operates its own carrier-grade telecom infrastructure rather than relying solely on third-party resellers, giving it greater control over network performance and customer experience.
Roamless has positioned its offering as a solution for frequent travelers, remote workers, and international businesses seeking seamless connectivity without traditional roaming charges or the inconvenience of switching SIM cards. The company’s model enables users to activate data plans digitally and move between countries without interruptions in service, addressing a long-standing pain point in global mobile communications.
Since launch, Roamless has reported strong early traction, surpassing one million users worldwide and achieving rapid year-over-year growth. The new funding is expected to support continued expansion of network coverage, enhancements to the company’s mobile application, and increased investment in customer support and marketing as global demand for eSIM services continues to rise.
In addition to expanding data services, Roamless plans to broaden its product portfolio. The company has announced plans to introduce Roamless Numbers, a feature that would allow users to obtain local phone numbers in multiple countries for voice calls and SMS messaging. This development would move Roamless closer to offering a full suite of mobile services, extending beyond data connectivity and positioning the company as a more comprehensive mobile operator.
The company also plans to pursue business-to-business opportunities by offering embedded connectivity solutions through application programming interfaces. These services are intended to allow airlines, travel platforms, financial services providers, and other digital platforms to integrate global mobile connectivity directly into their products. By targeting both consumers and enterprises, Roamless aims to diversify revenue streams and expand its presence across multiple industries.
Roamless is further investing in artificial intelligence and automation to optimize network performance, manage costs, and improve the user experience. Its infrastructure has been built by engineers with experience deploying large-scale telecom networks, which the company believes provides a competitive advantage in reliability and scalability compared with software-only eSIM providers.
The Series A round follows a $6 million seed financing that enabled Roamless to build its initial platform and launch in multiple markets. Since then, the company has evolved from a travel-focused connectivity product into a broader global communications platform with ambitions to redefine how mobile services are delivered across borders.
As eSIM adoption accelerates globally and demand for frictionless international connectivity continues to grow, Roamless is positioning itself to capture a share of the expanding market. With fresh capital and a growing user base, the company plans to accelerate execution on its vision of delivering seamless, borderless mobile connectivity to users worldwide.
