Roadrunner Raises $27M Led by Kleiner Perkins and Founders Fund to Rebuild Enterprise Revenue Infrastructure with AI-Native CPQ Platform
Roadrunner, an AI-native revenue infrastructure startup building next-generation quote-to-cash software for enterprise sales teams, has raised $27 million in combined Seed and Series A funding as it moves to replace legacy configure-price-quote (CPQ) systems with an AI-driven workflow platform.
The round was led by Kleiner Perkins on the Seed side and Founders Fund on the Series A, marking strong backing from two of Silicon Valley’s most influential venture firms focused on enterprise software and foundational technology platforms.
Roadrunner is building an AI-native system that reimagines how companies generate quotes, configure deals, and manage revenue workflows. Instead of traditional CPQ tools that require manual configuration and rigid rule-based systems, the company’s platform introduces an agentic architecture designed to automate pricing decisions, approval flows, and deal structuring in real time.
The startup describes its system as a new category called “Prompt, Quote, Approve” (PQA), where sales teams can input natural-language requests and receive fully structured, enterprise-compliant quotes generated automatically by AI agents. This approach aims to reduce the friction and latency that typically slow down enterprise sales cycles, particularly in complex pricing environments.
Roadrunner was founded in 2025 by Joubin Mirzadegan, Ajay Natarajan, and Eugene Shao. The founders built the company around the idea that revenue infrastructure has remained largely unchanged for decades, relying on fragmented systems layered on top of Salesforce and other CRM platforms. Their goal is to rebuild the entire quote-to-cash stack using AI-native architecture rather than incremental automation.
The company’s platform is designed to integrate directly into enterprise sales workflows, enabling automated pricing logic, approval routing, and contract generation. It also aims to unify historically separate systems used for quoting, approvals, and revenue tracking into a single intelligent layer that continuously learns from deal data.
According to publicly available company information, Roadrunner is already working with early enterprise customers and has seen rapid adoption interest from sales and revenue operations teams seeking to modernize legacy CPQ infrastructure. The platform is positioned as a replacement rather than an augmentation of traditional systems, emphasizing speed, automation, and adaptability to dynamic pricing models.
Kleiner Perkins led the Seed round, bringing early conviction in the company’s potential to redefine enterprise revenue workflows, while Founders Fund led the Series A, signaling confidence in the scalability of AI-native infrastructure for mission-critical business systems.
The funding will be used to expand engineering teams, deepen enterprise integrations, and accelerate development of Roadrunner’s AI-driven quote-to-cash platform. A portion of the capital will also support customer onboarding and expansion into larger enterprise accounts with complex pricing and approval requirements.
Roadrunner is part of a broader wave of AI infrastructure startups targeting core enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, and revenue operations. As companies increasingly adopt generative and agentic AI systems, investors are backing platforms that can replace legacy workflow software rather than simply add AI features on top of them.
With its latest $27 million funding round led by Kleiner Perkins and Founders Fund, Roadrunner is now focused on scaling its AI-native revenue infrastructure platform and positioning itself as a foundational layer for modern enterprise sales operations.
