Raspberry AI, a New York-based generative AI platform for fashion creatives, has raised $24 million in a Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). This investment will support the company’s mission to revolutionize the fashion design process through artificial intelligence and expand its market presence globally.

The funding round also saw participation from existing investors Greycroft, Correlation Ventures, and MVP Ventures, along with notable angel investors Gokul Rajaram and Ken Pilot. The strong backing from leading venture capital firms highlights the growing importance of AI in transforming creative industries such as fashion.

Raspberry AI’s platform offers advanced generative AI tools that enable fashion brands to rapidly design and refine apparel, footwear, and accessories. By automating parts of the design process, the platform allows designers to focus on creativity while accelerating product development cycles.

The company’s technology is already being utilized by top fashion brands, including Under Armour, MCM Worldwide, Gruppo Teddy, and Li & Fung. These clients have leveraged Raspberry AI’s solutions to streamline their design operations and enhance their ability to respond to fast-changing consumer trends.

With the newly secured funding, Raspberry AI plans to further enhance its platform by integrating more advanced AI capabilities and expanding its engineering, sales, and marketing teams. The company also aims to strengthen its presence in key markets such as Europe and Asia while continuing to innovate its product offerings.

CEO Priya Mehta expressed excitement about the funding, stating that it will enable Raspberry AI to push the boundaries of what AI can achieve in fashion design. She emphasized that the company is committed to helping brands innovate, reduce costs, and increase speed-to-market through intelligent design solutions.

Raspberry AI also plans to extend its platform beyond fashion into other retail categories such as home decor and furniture. The company sees significant potential in applying its AI-driven design tools to broader segments of the retail industry, offering businesses the same level of creativity and efficiency it brings to fashion.

Raspberry AI is well-positioned to drive innovation in the fashion and retail industries, providing brands with the tools they need to stay competitive, adapt to market changes, and meet the growing demand for personalized and trend-responsive products through AI-powered solutions.
