Prophet Security Raises $30M Series A Led by Accel to Launch Its Agentic AI SOC Platform

Prophet Security funding

Prophet Security announced it has secured $30 million in a Series A financing round led by Accel, with additional participation from Bain Capital Ventures and other strategic investors.

This funding will power the launch and expansion of Prophet’s Agentic AI SOC Platform, designed to alleviate the operational overload that plagues modern Security Operations Centers (SOCs)—including alert fatigue, fragmented toolsets, and repetitive manual investigations that drain resources.

What stood out to us about Prophet wasn’t just the technical ambition, but the real-world traction: they’re delivering autonomy and speed while showing their work—a critical differentiator in an industry that runs on trust,” said Eric Wolford, Partner at Accel.

One customer, Cabinetworks, leveraged Prophet’s platform to drastically cut investigation time—from hours to minutes—by automating the investigative workload at machine-speed. The result was fewer false positives, improved analyst efficiency, and no need to increase staff.

What many security teams lack is a system that can reason through alerts and complex threat scenarios. Prophet’s platform fills that gap by investigating alerts with the nuance of a seasoned human analyst, offering explainable reasoning rather than rigid rule-based responses.

The Agentic AI SOC Platform consists of three key components: the AI SOC Analyst, which autonomously investigates alerts across the security stack, gathers evidence, and delivers findings in plain English; the AI Threat Hunter, which proactively identifies suspicious patterns and supports investigation across disparate systems; and the AI Detection Advisor, which optimizes detection coverage and reduces alert noise based on actual telemetry.

This approach allows Tier 1, 2, and 3 analysts to focus on meaningful security work instead of repetitive triage. As one CISO put it, it’s about “role elevation, not role elimination.” It also accelerates the training and onboarding of new analysts, who learn on the job from the agentic system itself.

This milestone funding reflects deep gratitude for Prophet’s early customers and partners, who believed in the vision and helped shape the platform, and above all, the founding team whose perseverance built this innovation from the ground up.
