Point2 Technology Extends Series B to $76 Million to Accelerate AI Data Center Interconnect Platform

Point2 Technology has secured an extension of its Series B financing, bringing the total amount raised in the round to $76 million as the company advances its high-performance interconnect technology for next-generation artificial intelligence data centers. The San Jose, California-based startup said the new capital will accelerate commercialization of its proprietary e-Tube platform, expand engineering and systems teams, and support the deployment of products designed to address growing connectivity bottlenecks in large-scale AI infrastructure.

The latest investment was led by Maverick Silicon, with participation from NVentures, NVIDIA’s venture capital arm, and UMC Capital. The extension builds on previous financing and reflects increasing investor confidence in technologies that improve the performance, efficiency, and scalability of AI computing systems.

Founded to address one of the most significant challenges facing modern AI infrastructure, Point2 Technology develops radio frequency-based interconnect solutions that use its proprietary e-Tube technology to deliver ultra-low-power, low-latency, and high-density communications between processors. As hyperscale data centers deploy increasingly larger clusters of graphics processing units (GPUs) and AI accelerators, traditional copper and optical interconnects face growing limitations in bandwidth, power consumption, and signal integrity. Point2 aims to overcome those limitations with a new architecture designed specifically for rack-scale AI computing.

The company’s e-Tube platform transmits RF signals over plastic waveguides, enabling high-speed communication while reducing energy consumption compared with conventional interconnect technologies. Point2 believes its approach can significantly improve the efficiency of AI infrastructure by enabling longer transmission distances than copper while avoiding some of the cost and complexity associated with optical solutions.

The newly secured capital will be used to accelerate the commercialization of Point2’s Active RF Cable (ARC) platform, which is intended to provide high-bandwidth connectivity for AI servers and data center systems. The company also plans to continue development of future Near Package e-Tube (NPE) and Co-Packaged e-Tube (CPE) solutions designed for next-generation rack-scale computing architectures.

Demand for AI infrastructure has expanded rapidly as enterprises, cloud providers, and research organizations deploy increasingly sophisticated large language models and generative AI applications. These workloads require thousands of processors operating together with extremely high-speed communication links. While advances in semiconductor performance have enabled greater computational capability, interconnect technology has emerged as a critical bottleneck affecting system performance, scalability, and power efficiency.

Point2’s technology seeks to address this challenge by enabling faster, lower-power communications between AI processors. The company believes its platform can help data center operators improve system performance while reducing energy consumption and infrastructure costs associated with large AI clusters.

In addition to advancing product development, Point2 plans to expand its engineering, systems design, and commercialization teams as it moves toward broader product deployment. The company has also continued strengthening its leadership team, including the appointment of experienced executives to support its next stage of growth as customer interest increases.

Investor support from Maverick Silicon, NVentures, and UMC Capital reflects growing interest in technologies that support the expanding AI ecosystem beyond processors themselves. As AI computing systems become larger and more complex, networking and interconnect technologies are increasingly viewed as essential components for achieving higher overall system performance.

Point2 has also gained industry recognition beyond its financing activities. The company was named a 2026 BloombergNEF Pioneer for its work on sustainable and scalable AI data center infrastructure, highlighting the industry’s focus on improving both performance and energy efficiency as AI adoption accelerates. It has also demonstrated its technology at major semiconductor and networking industry events while collaborating with ecosystem partners to validate its solutions for future deployment.

The AI infrastructure market continues to attract significant investment as organizations seek technologies capable of supporting increasingly demanding computing workloads. Although processors remain at the center of AI development, supporting technologies such as networking, memory, cooling, and interconnects have become equally important in enabling efficient large-scale deployments.

With its Series B financing now totaling $76 million, Point2 Technology is positioned to accelerate commercialization of its e-Tube platform and expand production of its RF-based interconnect solutions. Backed by Maverick Silicon, NVentures, and UMC Capital, the company plans to continue developing technologies that address one of the most pressing challenges in AI infrastructure: enabling faster, more energy-efficient communication between the processors powering the next generation of artificial intelligence applications.
