Pipe17 Raises $15.5 Million in Series A Funding to Expand AI-Powered Order Operations Platform
Pipe17, a Seattle-based provider of AI-powered composable order operations solutions, has raised $15.5 million in a Series A funding round led by LFX Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors GLP and others. This brings the company’s total funding to $25 million since its launch in 2019.
In conjunction with the funding announcement, Pipe17 appointed Kelly Goetsch as its first Chief Operating Officer. Goetsch previously served as Chief Strategy Officer at commercetools and co-founded the MACH Alliance, an industry consortium advocating for composable MACH (Microservices, APIs, Cloud, and Headless) technologies.
Pipe17’s AI-powered Order Operations platform addresses the complexities of modern commerce by synchronizing order, pricing, and inventory data across multiple systems, including ERPs, 3PLs, and commerce platforms. The platform features an AI Order Operations Agent named Pippen, which assists users with tasks such as order routing, administration, and exception handling.
The company has experienced significant growth, doubling its average revenue per deal and tripling its average deal size over the past 18 months. Pipe17’s clients include notable brands like Allbirds, Made In Cookware, Orthofeet, and MaryRuth Organics, as well as major logistics providers such as Ryder, UPS, and FedEx.
With the new funding, Pipe17 plans to invest in cutting-edge technology, expand its team, and reach more businesses to democratize streamlined operations for companies of all sizes. The company aims to turn operational chaos into a competitive advantage by automating back-end tasks, allowing customers to focus on growing their brands and delighting their customers.
“We are at a pivotal moment in commerce, where businesses are under immense pressure to adapt to an increasingly complex and fragmented landscape,” said Mo Afshar, CEO and Co-Founder of Pipe17. “Pipe17 is uniquely positioned to address these challenges and shape the future of commerce.”
The addition of Kelly Goetsch as COO is expected to further accelerate Pipe17’s growth and enhance its ability to provide innovative solutions in the evolving commerce operations landscape. Goetsch’s experience in scaling companies and advocating for composable technologies aligns with Pipe17’s mission to revolutionize order operations.
