PickMyBrain Raises $2.1 Million Pre-Seed Round to Scale AI-Powered Digital Expertise Platform

PickMyBrain, a Tallinn, Estonia-based artificial intelligence startup developing digital replicas of experts and public figures, has raised $2.1 million (€1.8 million) in pre-seed funding to accelerate product development, expand its team, and support international growth. The investment comes as organizations and individuals increasingly seek AI-powered solutions that enable professionals to monetize their knowledge while reaching larger audiences without being constrained by time.

The pre-seed funding round was led by Raison, with participation from business angels including Garri Zmudze, alongside additional undisclosed investors. The financing will enable the company to strengthen its AI platform and expand into new markets as demand grows for personalized AI assistants trained on expert knowledge.

Founded by Sergei Verbitski, PickMyBrain is building what it calls “Digital Brains”—AI-powered digital counterparts that allow professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, creators, and public figures to scale their expertise. Rather than relying on traditional chatbots trained on generic internet data, the company’s platform creates AI models trained on an individual’s own knowledge, experience, and communication style. This allows users to interact with an expert’s digital counterpart while receiving responses that reflect the expert’s unique perspective and domain expertise.

The company believes the growing creator economy and increasing adoption of generative AI have created an opportunity for experts to extend their reach beyond one-on-one consultations. Professionals often face limitations on how many clients, students, or followers they can engage with directly. PickMyBrain aims to remove these constraints by allowing AI-powered digital versions of experts to answer questions, provide guidance, and interact with audiences around the clock.

According to the company, its platform already hosts more than 1,000 professionals representing a variety of industries and disciplines. These digital brains enable users to access specialized knowledge while allowing experts to generate additional revenue streams without significantly increasing their personal workload. The platform is designed for a broad range of users, including consultants, coaches, educators, executives, athletes, celebrities, and subject matter experts seeking to commercialize their expertise through AI.

PickMyBrain’s technology combines large language models with proprietary knowledge management capabilities that enable AI assistants to respond using verified information supplied directly by each expert. Instead of relying solely on publicly available content, the platform enables professionals to upload documents, presentations, interviews, videos, books, and other proprietary materials that become the foundation of their personalized AI model. This approach is intended to improve both accuracy and authenticity while ensuring that the digital counterpart reflects the expert’s own knowledge base.

The newly raised capital will be used to expand the engineering team, enhance the platform’s AI capabilities, and support international market expansion. The company also plans to invest in product development to improve the creation, deployment, and management of Digital Brains while making the platform accessible to a wider range of professionals and organizations.

Founder Sergei Verbitski has said that artificial intelligence is transforming how knowledge is created, distributed, and monetized. Rather than replacing human experts, PickMyBrain seeks to augment their ability to engage with audiences by enabling AI to handle repetitive interactions while allowing experts to focus on higher-value work. The company believes this model can help professionals build scalable businesses around their expertise without sacrificing quality or authenticity.

Investor interest reflects broader momentum surrounding generative AI applications that move beyond productivity tools into specialized knowledge platforms. As enterprises, creators, and professionals increasingly explore AI-driven business models, platforms capable of capturing and commercializing proprietary expertise are attracting growing attention from investors seeking exposure to the expanding AI economy.

With fresh pre-seed financing, PickMyBrain plans to continue developing its AI-powered digital expertise platform while expanding its presence internationally. By enabling professionals to create personalized Digital Brains that interact with users at scale, the company aims to reshape how expertise is shared, monetized, and accessed in an increasingly AI-driven digital economy.
