NUVA Digital Raises $5.2 Million Seed Funding to Expand Real-World Asset Tokenization Platform
NUVA Digital has raised $5.2 million in seed funding to accelerate the development of its real-world asset (RWA) marketplace, NUVA, as the company works to build a digital infrastructure layer connecting decentralized finance with institutional-grade financial assets. The funding will support platform development, expansion of its curated vault marketplace, additional issuer integrations, multi-chain deployments, institutional tooling, and preparation for the launch of the NUVA utility token.
The seed round was led by Morgan Creek Digital, with Ulu Ventures participating as another major investor. The financing represents NUVA Digital’s first external funding round and was structured as a priced equity seed round accompanied by a token warrant. The company did not disclose its valuation.
NUVA Digital is the software development company behind NUVA Finance, a platform designed to provide users with access to tokenized real-world assets through blockchain-based vaults. The company was co-incubated by Animoca Brands and Nuva Labs, with the goal of creating a unified distribution layer for high-quality real-world asset opportunities. NUVA aims to allow users to deposit stablecoins and receive liquid, composable tokens representing ownership in underlying asset-backed vaults.
The company is focused on addressing one of the major challenges in the tokenized asset market: improving access to institutional-quality financial products while maintaining transparency and blockchain-native functionality. Traditional alternative assets often involve high minimum investments, limited liquidity, and complex access processes. NUVA’s platform is designed to simplify access by allowing users to interact with tokenized versions of real-world assets through decentralized infrastructure.
NUVA Finance operates as a non-custodial platform, meaning users retain control over their assets while interacting with tokenized vault products. The platform uses on-chain proof of reserves and blockchain-based transparency mechanisms to provide visibility into underlying assets. Users who deposit stablecoins into NUVA vaults receive nvAsset tokens representing their proportional ownership, with the value of these tokens reflecting the performance of the underlying assets over time.
The company’s initial offerings include vaults linked to tokenized real-world assets associated with Figure Technologies. These include nvYLDS, which provides exposure to YLDS, a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission-registered yielding stablecoin security backed by short-term assets, and nvPRIME, which provides exposure to a pool of on-chain home equity line of credit assets.
The latest investment comes as interest in real-world asset tokenization continues to grow across financial and blockchain markets. Industry participants have increasingly explored blockchain technology as a way to improve liquidity, transparency, and accessibility for assets traditionally limited to institutional investors. By combining decentralized finance infrastructure with regulated financial products, companies such as NUVA are seeking to create new models for digital asset ownership and distribution.
NUVA Digital plans to use the new capital to expand its marketplace and strengthen relationships with asset issuers. The company also intends to increase institutional tooling, support additional blockchain networks, and expand the range of tokenized assets available through its platform. These developments are part of NUVA’s broader strategy to create a single access point for users seeking exposure to tokenized financial products.
Investor support from Morgan Creek Digital and Ulu Ventures highlights growing venture interest in infrastructure companies focused on bridging traditional finance and blockchain ecosystems. Morgan Creek Digital has invested in companies operating at the intersection of digital assets and financial technology, while Ulu Ventures focuses on early-stage technology companies.
The company’s leadership includes Anthony Moro as chief executive officer. Following the funding round, Sachin Jaitly of Morgan Creek Digital joined NUVA Digital’s board, alongside Mike Cagney, co-founder and executive chairman of Figure Technologies, and Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands. Their involvement reflects the company’s focus on combining expertise from digital assets, financial technology, and Web3 ecosystems.
As tokenization of real-world assets continues to gain attention from financial institutions and blockchain developers, NUVA Digital is positioning itself as an infrastructure provider focused on improving access to asset-backed investment opportunities. The company believes blockchain technology can help reduce barriers between asset issuers and investors while creating more transparent and efficient financial markets.
With $5.2 million in seed funding from Morgan Creek Digital and Ulu Ventures, along with strategic support from Animoca Brands and Nuva Labs, NUVA Digital plans to continue expanding its real-world asset platform and advancing its vision of making institutional-grade tokenized assets more accessible through decentralized financial infrastructure.
