Mintlify Raises $45 Million Series B to Build AI-Powered Knowledge Infrastructure for Developers and Enterprises
Mintlify, an artificial intelligence-powered developer documentation platform, has raised $45 million in Series B funding to accelerate its mission of building a knowledge infrastructure layer that helps developers, companies, and AI systems better understand software products. The round brings Mintlify’s total funding to $67 million and values the company at $500 million.
The Series B round was led by Andreessen Horowitz and Salesforce Ventures, with participation from existing investors including Bain Capital Ventures and Y Combinator. Additional participants included DST Global, MVP Ventures, Avra, HubSpot Ventures, TwentyTwo Ventures, and angel investor Rahul Mehta.
Founded by Han Wang and Hahnbee Lee, Mintlify is developing tools that help companies create, maintain, and improve developer documentation. The company’s platform is designed to support software teams by automating documentation workflows and making technical information easier for developers to discover and use.
Mintlify initially focused on improving the way developers interact with software documentation, an area that has traditionally depended on manual writing, updating, and maintenance. As software products become increasingly complex and artificial intelligence changes how developers search for information, the company has expanded its vision toward becoming a broader knowledge infrastructure platform for both humans and AI agents.
The company’s Series B financing will support continued product development, expansion of its engineering and business teams, and further investment in AI capabilities. Mintlify plans to use the capital to strengthen its platform as organizations increasingly look for ways to make their products understandable and accessible through both traditional developer workflows and emerging AI-powered interfaces.
Mintlify’s platform provides tools for creating developer-facing content such as guides, API references, SDK libraries, knowledge bases, content discovery features, analytics, and feedback systems. The company has positioned documentation as a critical part of software distribution, especially as developers increasingly rely on AI tools and automated systems to learn about products and integrate new technologies.
Investor support from Andreessen Horowitz reflects continued venture interest in artificial intelligence infrastructure and developer-focused technology. The firm has invested in a wide range of software and AI companies, and its continued backing of Mintlify highlights the growing importance of tools that help organize and deliver technical knowledge in an AI-driven environment.
The participation of Salesforce Ventures in the Series B round also underscores enterprise demand for AI-powered software solutions. Salesforce Ventures invests in companies developing technologies that support businesses and digital transformation, and its investment in Mintlify aligns with broader efforts to improve how organizations create and manage software knowledge.
Existing investors Bain Capital Ventures and Y Combinator continued supporting Mintlify’s growth following earlier financing rounds. Mintlify previously raised an $18 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, Y Combinator, and other investors. That round brought the company’s total funding at the time to $21 million.
Mintlify has experienced rapid adoption among technology companies and reports that its platform powers documentation for more than 20,000 companies, with content reaching more than 100 million people annually. Earlier in its growth, the company said its technology was used by organizations including Anthropic, Perplexity, Cursor, Pinecone, and Zapier.
The company’s growth comes as artificial intelligence reshapes how developers consume technical information. Traditional documentation systems were designed primarily for human readers, but the rise of AI coding assistants and autonomous software agents has created demand for structured, reliable knowledge sources that machines can also understand.
Mintlify is positioning itself at the intersection of developer tools, artificial intelligence, and enterprise software. The company believes that documentation will become increasingly important as AI systems interact with software products and require accurate information to generate code, answer questions, and assist users.
The latest financing follows Mintlify’s earlier seed and Series A investments and provides additional resources to expand its platform. With backing from Andreessen Horowitz, Salesforce Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Y Combinator, and other investors, Mintlify aims to establish itself as a foundational technology provider for software knowledge in the AI era.
