LexDo.it Raises €1.7 Million Pre-Series A to Expand AI-Powered Platform for Business Creation and Management
LexDo.it, the Milan-based legaltech platform that enables entrepreneurs to launch and manage businesses entirely online, has closed a €1.7 million pre-Series A funding round to accelerate product development, expand its team, and advance its mission to simplify business creation and management in Italy. The financing brings increased momentum to the company as it prepares to scale its platform, introduce more automation and AI-driven features, and support a growing base of small business founders and SMEs.
The pre-Series A round was backed by a mix of institutional partners and selected business angels, with participation from Italy’s national development agency Invitalia as well as fintech investor Viceversa. Prominent individual backers included Roberto Spada, founder of Spada Partners; Luca Orsini, founder of Antares European Fund; and business angel Roberto Lombardi, who joined the round alongside other experienced early-stage investors.
LexDo.it was founded in 2015 by Giovanni Toffoletto, who sought to remove bureaucratic hurdles for entrepreneurs navigating Italy’s complex business registration and compliance environment. Since its launch, LexDo.it has gained significant traction, serving more than 400,000 users and assisting in the launch of more than 6,500 new businesses, helping founders save up to €3,000 in the first year compared with traditional channels. The €1.7 million funding will be deployed across several strategic priorities. LexDo.it plans to expand its workforce, with an aim to nearly double its headcount to around 100 employees by the end of 2025, bringing on board developers, designers, and additional legal and accounting professionals to support growth and product execution. The fresh capital will also fuel accelerated development of the platform’s technology roadmap, including the introduction of new features that incorporate artificial intelligence and automation to further simplify tasks traditionally associated with business formation and management.
