Financial Services Lead

We’re actively seeking a Head of Financial Services who is highly organized and motivated to lead our young and growing team in Singapore and evolve our programs and activities there.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

Management

• Oversee Financial Services program in our APAC HQ/Singapore office
• Overall responsible for driving key results including revenue growth and profitability for our Fintech & Insurtech corporate innovation programs
• Oversee program planning and execution of our Fintech & Insurtech accelerator programs

Corporate Partnerships

• Work with EVP APAC on corporate business development and partnership efforts with Thai conglomerates and corporations
• Work with APAC and HQ teams on corporate business development and partnership efforts with multinational corporations outside of Singapore
• Manage and grow relationships with existing corporate partners, increasing engagement, defining strategic focus areas and encouraging best practices
• Identify growth opportunities and develop new programs and products to enable continued growth of Plug and Play in Southeast Asia

Strategic Partnerships

• Work with mentors, investors, government entities and other industry players to grow Plug & Play’s Financial Services network and startup ecosystem in APAC
• Establish and build links with community and media partners to expand brand and marketing outreach

Startups and Investments

• Take the lead in building and developing scouting network to source for the best startups locally and internationally for the Financial Services program in APAC
• Work with APAC and HQ teams to Identify high potential startups for investment and be involved with selection, negotiation and due diligence process
• Mentor accelerator program and portfolio startups to help with business growth and fundraising opportunities.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s, Masters or MBA (preferred) in related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in corporate, enterprise or technology sales and business development
• Proven track record of building C-level business relationships, negotiating complex business agreements and executing partnerships
• Experience with B2B based partnerships, large scale projects or engagements with Fortune-1000 corporations
• Confident of achieving high revenue/sales-based targets and managing P&L
• Experience with managing P&L with revenue/sales based targets
• Experience in startup, venture capital preferred
• International study and/or work experience preferred
• Can-do attitude, strategic thinker and self-motivated team leader
