Fund Accountant

We’re looking for a Senior level Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll help to manage the complete accounting life cycle the largest investor syndicates in the world as well as the accounting side of our media business. You will be a department of one, with input and help from our Operations team.

Initial responsibilities:

• Coordinate AP/AR process on a bi-weekly basis via Quickbooks and Bank of America or Gusto
• Manage and Nurture relationships with third party vendors
• Review monthly account reconciliations with understanding and proficiency
• Financial Statement preparation including cash flow analysis
• Analyze financial performance and make recommendations for future policies/actions
• Assist in yearly budget and forecast preparation
• Compile and analyze information for weekly reports, month-end closings and annual audits.
• Analyze current processes to determine more efficient and automated ways for completion
• Apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgement and management skills to achieve required results
• Support peers and management with internal and external projects
  Perform other duties as requested and assigned

To be successful in this role, you need to:

• Have 3+ years experience with VC Funds and private investment syndicates
• Understand the difference between accuracy and efficiency
• Be incredibly organized; keep and maintain accurate records
• Have a willingness to jump in and learn skills on your own
• Juggle multiple tasks and adjust priorities — while remaining cool under pressure
• Have a “get it done attitude” and the desire to be helpful, work well with others
• Be an amazing problem solver
• Understand that this is a dynamic role and there will always be the opportunity to jump into a new project
• Have a good working knowledge of Quickbooks Online
• Demonstrable knowledge of (or willingness to learn) Zapier, Notion, Google Workspace

Compensation: $68,000-$80,000 commensurate with experience
