Role

Reporting to members of the Life Sciences Partnership, the Investment Analyst has responsibility for sourcing and evaluating new investments for the life sciences team from partner universities and beyond. You should have excellent communication skills and an ability to interact credibly with leading experts, scientists and clinicians within academia and the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. You should be able to assess the strengths and weaknesses of biomedical opportunities and clearly present these to the Life Science Partnership for investment.

Candidate profile

• Scientific training, with a PhD in the life sciences
• Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry;
• An analytical and independent thinker with entrepreneurial drive;
• Intellectually flexible and commercially savvy with broad interests in the life sciences sector;
• Strong interpersonal/relationship building skills;
• Effective communicator (orally, in writing & through presentations).
• Willing to travel (predominantly in the UK but occasionally internationally)
