The Role:
The Payroll & Benefits Specialist administers the activities relating to the company payroll, benefits processing including developing, implementing, and monitoring (e.g., performing internal audit and control procedures to ensure that all wages and taxes are accurate). The individual will be the company’s subject matter expert with all semi-monthly payrolls, and benefits administration.
Payroll Duties And Responsibilities
- Process payrolls for hourly, salaried, and temporary employees; including reviewing, administering regulatory requirements, and other adjustments to pay as necessary.
- Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with People and Culture to improve payroll and benefits processes.
- Responsible for payroll onboarding and off-boarding, including training employees on ADP set up, inputting new hires to ADP, off-boarding departing FTEs, and acting as primary contact for tax elections questions
- Maintain employee records in payroll/benefits systems.
- Produces scheduled and ad-hoc reports pertaining to payroll and human resources requirements.
Benefits Reponsibilities
- Administer all employee benefit programs including enrollments, terminations, and some cobra administration.
- Reports results of audits to ensure all enrollments are accurate and that dependent information is correct for each employee and assists with quarterly and year end audits for year-end processing (payroll, 401k, benefits).
- Potential to administer equity plan
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Prior payroll and benefits experience required
- ADP experience preferred
- Prior equity plan administration preferred
