Ready-to-drink alcohol brand, Jiant, raises $6 million in a Series A funding round, led by Natureza Growth Partners.

Jiant, a ready-to-drink alcohol brand based in Los Angeles, has revealed that it has reached a major turning point in its mission to transform the alcoholic beverage market. A significant step forward in the company’s expansion goal was the $6 million Series A funding round that was successfully closed.

Led by Natureza Growth Partners, many prominent investors, including G5 Capital, Sage Venture Partners, AIR Ventures, Semillero Partners, Brown Angel Group, and Freedom Trail Capital participated in this funding round.

Established by Larry Haertel Jr. and Aarom Telch in 2019, Jiant has become well-known for its creative approach to producing alcoholic beverages. Made with real tea, fruit. And botanicals, the company specializes in crafting fresh- brewed hard tea, kombucha, and cocktail- inspired drinks. Jiant intends to use the money from the Series A funding round to expand its hard tea line, grow its reach in terms of distribution, investigate new avenues for sales, and improve its production skills.

Jiant’s success has been largely attributed to its dedication to providing outstanding flavour and quality while defying conventional wisdom in the alcoholic beverage industry. Jiant’s co-founder, Larry Haertel Jr., expressed excitement at the backing of investors who share the company’s innovative mission. Another co-founder of Jiant, Aaron Telch emphasized how the business has changed from focusing primarily on hard kombucha to recognizing  the broader potential of hard tea. Apart from expanding its market share in established areas like Colorado and Southern California, Jiant also intends to create a national presence with an emphasis on environmental stewardship and sustainability. The company said that it will remove plastic from all of its primary and secondary packaging by 2024, and has recently received certification as a Climate Neutral brand.
