Inito Raises $29 Million Series B to Expand AI-Powered At-Home Health Diagnostics

Inito, the Bengaluru‑based health‑tech startup known for its AI‑powered at‑home diagnostics, has announced it raised $29 million in a Series B funding round to expand its platform beyond fertility testing into a broader suite of hormone and health tests tailored for home use. The financing brings the company’s total equity funding to approximately $45 million since its launch, reinforcing investor confidence in its mission to democratize access to clinical‑grade diagnostics outside traditional clinical settings.

The Series B round was led by Bertelsmann India Investments (BII), a strategic investor focused on backing high‑growth, scalable innovation from India. The financing also saw participation from existing backer Fireside Ventures, which has supported Inito since its earlier funding rounds. Together, these investors reflect a blend of growth capital and deep expertise in scaling tech‑enabled health solutions.

Founded in 2021 by co‑founders Aayush Rai and Varun AV, Inito began its journey with a flagship at‑home fertility monitor that measures key hormone biomarkers — including follicle‑stimulating hormone (FSH), estrogen, luteinizing hormone (LH), and the progesterone metabolite PdG — using an AI‑enhanced mobile platform. Unlike conventional home testing kits that provide simple positive/negative results, Inito’s system interprets continuous hormone data, offering more nuanced insights into users’ hormone patterns and helping individuals better understand their fertility cycles. Since launch, the platform has analyzed over 30 million hormone data points globally, a scale that has contributed to strong consumer adoption and rich data for refining its algorithms.

With the new capital, Inito plans to broaden its product portfolio well beyond fertility monitoring. The company is now using advanced AI‑engineered antibody technology — where synthetic antibodies are designed using machine learning and computational protein design — to enable highly sensitive and consistent diagnostics tests that were previously difficult or impossible to deliver outside clinical labs. This technological leap is central to Inito’s strategy to build at‑home tests for additional biomarkers, including thyroid function, testosterone, vitamins, and other indicators of health and wellness.

Inito’s methodology represents a shift from traditional antibody production, which typically relies on animal‑derived antibodies and manual lab work. The startup’s AI‑driven approach allows it to simulate and predict protein structures and antibody binding digitally, producing synthetic antibodies that are more stable, sensitive, and scalable. This capability positions Inito to accelerate the pace of new test development and improve the reliability of at‑home diagnostics compared with legacy solutions.

The company operates with teams across Bengaluru, Dubai, and London and holds more than 20 patents related to its diagnostic technologies. As it expands into new health‑monitoring categories, Inito is targeting markets globally, including the United States, where demand for accessible, at‑home health data continues to grow.

Co‑founders Rai and Varun have emphasized that Inito’s vision extends beyond isolated tests to a comprehensive health diagnostics ecosystem built around robust data and personalized insights. The company’s platform is designed not just to detect individual biomarkers, but to help users track patterns over time, anticipate changes in their physiology, and make more informed health decisions without the delays and costs associated with traditional clinical diagnostics.

Investors backing the Series B round have highlighted Inito’s unique combination of AI, health data interpretation, and consumer accessibility as differentiators that set it apart in the competitive health‑tech landscape. Bertelsmann India Investments noted that Inito’s fusion of clinical precision with intelligent design exemplifies the future direction of personalized healthcare products, while Fireside Ventures reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the company’s global growth and deeper impact.

As Inito moves into its next phase, the funding will support accelerated product development, expanded manufacturing capacity, and global distribution efforts. By building on its strong data foundation and AI‑enabled diagnostics infrastructure, the company aims to redefine how individuals engage with their health — making lab‑grade insights and proactive health monitoring accessible from the comfort of home.
