Holi Raises €3M Seed to Expand Digital Obesity Treatment Platform Across Europe

Warsaw-based healthtech startup Holi has raised €3 million in seed funding to scale its digital obesity treatment platform across Europe, marking a significant step in its expansion beyond Poland and into new Southern and Eastern European markets. The funding will help the company broaden access to its data-driven, hybrid care model that combines medical expertise, digital tools, and pharmacotherapy to tackle one of the largest public health challenges worldwide.

The seed round was led by 4growth VC, a Polish venture capital firm focused on early-stage technology-enabled healthcare solutions, with participation from YZR Capital and Heartfelt Capital, alongside a group of business angels. The investor backing reflects strong confidence in Holi’s comprehensive, tech-enabled approach to metabolic healthcare and its potential to deliver clinically effective outcomes at scale.

Holi was founded in 2023 by Paweł Seweryn (Founder & CEO) and Jan Kundziołka (Co-founder, Product & Technology) with a mission to create a digital metabolic health clinic that integrates multidisciplinary medical care with advanced technology. Through its platform, patients living with obesity access personalised treatment plans co-designed by doctors, psychodietitians, psychologists, and physiotherapists, supported by real-time data analysis and ongoing behavioural coaching. The model also incorporates GLP-1-based pharmacotherapy, including widely used medications like Ozempic and Wegovy, to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

Holi’s digital platform delivers care through mobile and online interfaces that enable continuous patient monitoring, dynamic treatment adjustments, and structured support for lifestyle changes. This hybrid model blends human-expert intervention with AI- and data-assisted therapy optimisation, which Holi says leads to more sustainable long-term results. According to the company, patients using its comprehensive treatment achieve an average 17 % reduction in body weight after 12 months — roughly 1.5 times the effectiveness of pharmacotherapy alone — while also reducing medication costs by up to 50 % through data-informed dose optimisation and coaching.

The €3 million seed funding will be used strategically to expand Holi’s operations into Southern and Eastern Europe, regions where private healthcare and telemedicine adoption are growing rapidly. Holi plans to scale its medical infrastructure, enhance platform features — including diagnostics integration and automated care workflows — and build new engagement tools designed to sustain long-term patient motivation. These investments aim to help the startup reach more patients and improve treatment outcomes in markets with mounting demand for accessible obesity care.

Obesity affects more than 800 million people worldwide, and nearly two billion are classified as overweight. This has made obesity treatment a pressing challenge for public health systems and healthcare providers globally. The European obesity treatment market alone is estimated to be €40 billion to €50 billion, driven in part by the rapid adoption of GLP-1-based therapies and growing demand for personalised, technology-enhanced care.

Holi’s model stands out from many generic weight-loss or wellness apps by providing structured access to clinical professionals and integrating multidisciplinary care into a single digital platform. Patients can schedule consultations, receive personalised exercise and nutrition plans, access medical oversight, and benefit from continuous psychological support — all coordinated through Holi’s technology infrastructure.

Investors in the seed round highlighted Holi’s combination of medical rigor, digital efficiency, and scalable business design as a compelling value proposition in the European healthtech landscape. Krzysztof Bachta, Managing Partner at 4growth VC, noted that Holi has built a care model that seamlessly integrates virtual and in-person elements while delivering measurable clinical outcomes at an accessible price point. Markus Feuerecker, Co-founder and Managing Partner at YZR Capital, underscored the startup’s strong execution and scaling speed without compromising medical quality, which reinforced his firm’s decision to increase its backing in this round.

The new funding positions Holi to accelerate its mission of making effective, personalised obesity treatment more widely available across Europe. By continuing to refine its technology stack — including AI-powered analytics and automated support features — and expanding its reach, the company aims to address a significant and underserved health need while capturing a larger share of the fast-growing digital metabolic care market.
