HeyDonto AI Technology Raises $20 Million Seed Round to Expand Dental Data Interoperability Platform

HeyDonto AI Technology has raised $20 million in seed funding at a $200 million valuation to accelerate the deployment of Conduit, its dental interoperability exchange platform designed to connect dental and medical data across the broader healthcare ecosystem. Headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, the AI-native healthcare technology company said the financing will support the expansion of its platform, which addresses one of the industry’s longest-standing challenges: the inability of dental systems to seamlessly exchange data with medical providers, payers, and patients.

The seed round was led by a group of eight private investors comprising practicing dentists and dental industry veterans. Several family offices with healthcare and technology portfolios also participated in the financing. The lead investor was Dr. Sheldon Seidman, DDS of Smile Chicago, who said the investment reflects confidence in Conduit’s potential to become the infrastructure connecting dental care with the broader healthcare system. Because the remaining investors and participating family offices were not publicly identified, their names have not been disclosed.

HeyDonto develops artificial intelligence-powered data intelligence platforms focused on solving interoperability challenges within healthcare. The company’s product portfolio includes Axiomera, a semantic intelligence platform that harmonizes healthcare data; Atlas, a data operations and analytics solution for multi-location organizations; and Conduit, the company’s flagship interoperability exchange platform. Together, these technologies are designed to make healthcare data interoperable, standardized, and AI-ready before it is consumed by downstream applications.

Conduit is positioned as the first production-grade platform built specifically to connect dental practice management systems, medical electronic health records, payer systems, and patient access infrastructure using open interoperability standards. The platform supports HL7 FHIR R4, SMART on FHIR, and protocols aligned with the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA). By enabling standardized data exchange between traditionally disconnected systems, the platform seeks to close a longstanding gap in the U.S. healthcare infrastructure, where dental records have historically remained isolated from broader medical records.

According to the company, physicians using connected healthcare systems will be able to send referrals electronically to dental providers, while dentists will have the ability to transmit treatment clearances and clinical information back to physicians in real time. Patients are also expected to gain access to unified health records that include both dental and medical information, improving care coordination and reducing administrative inefficiencies. The company believes these capabilities will support more integrated healthcare delivery while enabling providers to make better-informed clinical decisions.

The newly raised capital will be used to scale Conduit’s exchange infrastructure and expand its FHIR-based data platform. HeyDonto also plans to increase SMART on FHIR connectivity with major medical electronic health record platforms, including Epic and Oracle Cerner, while broadening compatibility with cloud-based and on-premises dental practice management systems through its Synchronizer technology. Additional investment will support engineering, sales, and customer success teams as well as continued development of interoperability standards through the Oral Health Interoperability Alliance, of which the company is a founding member.

The financing comes as healthcare organizations continue investing in technologies that improve interoperability and enable artificial intelligence applications through standardized, high-quality data. Fragmented clinical information has long been viewed as a barrier to coordinated patient care, particularly between dental and medical providers. By focusing on semantic intelligence and standards-based data exchange, HeyDonto aims to create a foundation that supports analytics, automation, and AI-driven healthcare applications across multiple clinical environments.

Company executives said the participation of experienced dental practitioners in the funding round demonstrates confidence from industry professionals who have firsthand experience with the operational challenges created by disconnected systems. With fresh capital and strategic backing from clinicians and healthcare-focused investors, HeyDonto plans to accelerate commercialization of Conduit and further its mission of integrating dental information into the broader healthcare ecosystem. The company believes improved interoperability will not only simplify administrative workflows but also enhance patient care by ensuring health information moves seamlessly between providers whenever it is needed.
