Gamma Raises $68 Million Series B at $2.1 Billion Valuation to Scale AI-Powered Visual Storytelling

Gamma, a San Francisco–based artificial intelligence platform focused on AI-powered visual storytelling, has raised $68 million in a Series B funding round at a $2.1 billion valuation, highlighting strong investor confidence in its rapid growth and expanding role in the productivity software market.

The Series B round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, a prominent venture capital firm known for backing category-defining technology companies. The round also included participation from existing investor Accel as well as Uncork Capital, among other returning backers. The new capital positions Gamma to further scale its platform and accelerate adoption across global markets.

Founded to reimagine how people create and share visual content, Gamma offers an AI-native alternative to traditional presentation and document tools. Its platform allows users to turn text prompts, outlines, or links into interactive presentations, documents, and websites within minutes. By combining generative AI with smart layouts and collaborative features, Gamma eliminates the need for manual design work and lowers the barrier to producing professional-quality visual content.

Since launching its product in 2022, Gamma has seen rapid adoption across individuals, teams, and enterprises. The platform has grown to tens of millions of users worldwide, who collectively generate more than a million pieces of content each day. This scale reflects a broad shift toward AI-driven productivity tools that prioritize speed, flexibility, and ease of use over traditional slide-based workflows.

Gamma’s growth has translated into strong financial performance. In 2025, the company surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue, a milestone that places it among a small group of AI-native software companies to achieve such scale in a short time frame. Notably, Gamma reached this level while maintaining profitability, underscoring the efficiency of its business model and disciplined approach to growth.

Before the Series B round, Gamma raised a $12 million Series A in May 2024. That round was led by Accel with participation from early-stage investors including Script Capital, South Park Commons, Lorimer Ventures, and Fellows Fund. The Series A capital supported product expansion, infrastructure scaling, and the company’s transition from early adoption to mainstream usage.

The Series B round also included a secondary component that provided liquidity for early employees. This move reflects Gamma’s focus on long-term culture and employee alignment, allowing early contributors to share in the company’s success while continuing to build the platform’s future.

Gamma operates in a competitive landscape shaped by the growing demand for AI-enhanced productivity tools. As remote and hybrid work continue to reshape how teams communicate, users are increasingly seeking tools that make it easier to convey ideas clearly and visually without steep learning curves. Gamma’s web-native approach and AI-driven workflows are designed to meet these evolving needs.

Co-founder and CEO Grant Lee has emphasized the company’s mission to empower people to communicate ideas more effectively, regardless of design or technical background. By embedding AI deeply into the content creation process, Gamma aims to democratize access to high-quality visual communication and move beyond the limitations of traditional slide-based software.

With fresh capital in place, Gamma plans to invest further in product innovation, advance its AI design capabilities, and expand its engineering and go-to-market teams. The funding marks another step in Gamma’s evolution as it seeks to redefine how presentations, documents, and visual stories are created in the AI era.
