Dash0 Raises $35M Series A to Revolutionize AI-Native Observability for Cloud-Native Applications
Dash0, a rising startup building an AI-native observability platform, has raised US $35 million in a Series A funding round, signaling strong investor confidence in its vision to modernize how software infrastructure is monitored and managed. The round was co‑led by Accel and Cherry Ventures, with additional participation from existing backer DIG Ventures.
Dash0 was founded in 2023 by a team of observability veterans, including Mirko Novakovic — the former founder of another observability firm — and aims to replace legacy monitoring tools with a fully AI‑native platform built on open standards. The company’s flagship product centers around an AI agent named Agent0, which, using Dash0’s proprietary SIFT framework (Spam filter, Ingest, Filter, Triage), ingests telemetry data from applications and infrastructure, filters noise, surfaces relevant signals, and even automates creation of alerts, dashboards, and remediation pipelines.
According to Dash0, Agent0 and its underlying architecture are designed to tackle what the company describes as the “broken” state of modern observability — where legacy systems generate overwhelming noise, incur unpredictable cost, and lack the intelligence to guide operators toward actionable fixes. By making observability “AI-native, open, and actionable,” Dash0 aims to turn raw logs, metrics, and traces into real-time insights and corrective actions, streamlining operations for developers and SRE teams.
Since its initial seed financing of US $9.5 million in late 2024 — also led by Accel with contributions from DIG Ventures and notable angel investors — the company has grown rapidly. As of the Series A announcement, Dash0 reports having over 300 paying customers, including enterprises and scale-ups across industries. In under a year, the startup claims it exceeded its internal goal of hitting US $1 million ARR (annual recurring revenue), and is now scaling aggressively.
The new funding will be used primarily to ramp up research and development of Agent0 and associated AI-native observability tools, expand Dash0’s engineering and product teams, and scale go-to-market operations across the U.S. and Europe. The company plans to broaden support for more telemetry types and observability features — including real user monitoring, synthetic monitoring, continuous profiling, and error tracking — to deliver a comprehensive monitoring solution for modern cloud-native environments.
Investors backing Dash0 see the potential for the company to redefine the observability category in the AI era. Partners at Cherry Ventures and Accel highlighted the founding team’s strong track record, the rapid adoption of Dash0’s platform, and the growing demand among developers and SREs for more intelligent, efficient, and automated monitoring solutions.
The ambition behind Dash0 is far-reaching: by leveraging open standards (such as OpenTelemetry) and embedding AI at the core, Dash0 aims to offer a modern alternative to legacy observability and monitoring tools — one that scales with the complexity of modern distributed systems and reduces the manual burden on engineering teams. If successful, Dash0’s approach could reshape how software reliability and infrastructure health are managed across cloud-native enterprises worldwide.
