Canary Technologies Raises $80M Series D Led by Brighton Park Capital to Expand AI-Powered Hotel Guest Management Platform

Canary Technologies, a San Francisco-based hospitality software company modernizing hotel guest management through artificial intelligence, has raised an $80 million Series D funding round as it accelerates global expansion and deepens its AI-driven product suite for the hospitality industry.

The company provides a digital guest management platform used by hotels to streamline operations such as check-in and check-out, guest messaging, upselling services, and payment workflows. Its software replaces traditional paper-based and legacy systems with mobile-first and AI-enabled tools designed to improve both operational efficiency and guest experience across hotel properties.

The latest financing round was led by Brighton Park Capital, with continued participation from existing investors including Insight Partners, F-Prime Capital, Thayer Ventures, Y Combinator, and Commerce Ventures. The round values Canary Technologies at approximately $600 million, reflecting strong investor confidence in the company’s position within the rapidly growing hospitality technology market.

Founded in 2018 by Harman Singh Narula and SJ Sawhney, Canary Technologies has positioned itself as a category leader in hotel guest experience software. The company’s platform is currently used by thousands of hotels globally, ranging from independent properties to large multinational hotel chains. Its tools aim to digitize the entire guest journey, from booking confirmation to post-stay engagement, while also enabling hotels to generate additional revenue through automated upselling features.

A key driver of Canary’s recent growth has been the integration of artificial intelligence into its product ecosystem. The company has introduced AI-powered messaging tools, automated guest communication systems, and smart response features designed to reduce front desk workload while improving response times for guests. These capabilities are part of a broader industry shift toward AI-enabled hospitality operations, where automation is increasingly used to manage high-volume guest interactions.

The new capital will be used to expand Canary Technologies’ international footprint, scale its engineering and AI development teams, and further enhance its platform capabilities. The company has stated that it plans to invest heavily in product innovation, particularly in AI-driven guest engagement tools and enterprise-grade software solutions for large hotel groups.

Investor interest in Canary Technologies reflects broader momentum in the hospitality technology sector, which has seen accelerated digitization since the global pandemic. Hotels have increasingly adopted cloud-based and mobile-first systems to reduce operational costs and meet rising expectations for contactless and personalized guest experiences.

Insight Partners, which also led Canary’s previous Series C round, has played a long-term role in supporting the company’s growth strategy. Other backers such as F-Prime Capital and Thayer Ventures bring deep experience in travel, enterprise software, and hospitality-focused investments, reinforcing the strategic nature of the company’s investor base.

Canary Technologies has raised over $150 million in total funding to date, according to publicly available investment data, and has steadily expanded its product offerings from basic guest messaging tools to a comprehensive digital guest management platform. The company’s growth has been fueled by increasing demand for automation in hotel operations and the broader adoption of AI across service industries.

With its latest funding round, Canary Technologies is positioning itself as a leading AI-native operating system for the hospitality sector, aiming to redefine how hotels manage guest experiences in an increasingly digital-first world.
