Bevyl Raises $1.3M Seed Round Led by Launchpad Venture Group to Automate Short-Form Video Production for Brands
Bevyl, a New York–based artificial intelligence startup building automated short-form video editing tools for consumer brands, has raised $1.3 million in seed funding to scale its AI-powered content production platform as demand for social media video continues to surge across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
The round was led by Launchpad Venture Group, with participation from HearstLab, the early-stage investment arm of media company Hearst. The funding was also supported by a large syndicate of angel investors, with early participation reflecting growing investor interest in AI tools that streamline marketing production workflows for brands operating in fast-moving digital channels.
Founded in 2025 and headquartered in New York City, Bevyl is developing what it describes as an AI “brand strategist” and automated video editing engine that transforms raw footage into ready-to-publish short-form videos. The platform is designed for consumer brands that need to produce high volumes of social media content while maintaining consistent branding across multiple channels and campaigns.
The company’s core product automates several traditionally time-intensive steps in video production, including clipping, sequencing, text overlays, subtitle generation, and voiceovers. Bevyl’s system is also designed to learn brand-specific styles over time, enabling it to adapt output to each company’s tone, visual identity, and marketing objectives.
Bevyl was co-founded by Nina Chen Liu, a two-time founder and former founder of Kite Beauty, who also previously worked in consumer and retail AI strategy at Accenture. Her co-founder, Noah Lindner, previously held roles at Airbnb and Loom, bringing experience from companies deeply embedded in user-generated and video-first platforms.
The startup is targeting a growing bottleneck in digital marketing: the increasing demand for short-form video content. As platforms prioritize algorithm-driven video distribution, brands are under pressure to produce more frequent, high-quality content optimized for engagement. Bevyl positions itself as a solution to this challenge by automating much of the editing and production workflow while maintaining brand consistency at scale.
According to company claims shared in investor materials and filings, the platform can significantly reduce production time and improve publishing efficiency, with users able to convert raw footage into publish-ready content in a fraction of the time traditionally required. Early usage data cited by the company suggests that a high percentage of videos generated through the system require minimal manual edits before publication.
The company has also reported that its system is being used by early-stage consumer brands and marketing teams seeking to scale their content output without proportionally increasing headcount or agency spend. Bevyl’s approach reflects a broader shift in the marketing technology landscape, where generative AI tools are increasingly being deployed to automate creative production workflows that were previously manual and resource-intensive.
Investors backing Bevyl see the opportunity as part of a wider transformation in content creation, where AI is being integrated not just into copywriting or ideation, but directly into production pipelines for multimedia content. Launchpad Venture Group’s involvement in the round also included board participation from its members, signaling deeper strategic engagement beyond capital investment.
The seed financing is expected to be used to expand Bevyl’s engineering team, improve its AI editing capabilities, and accelerate go-to-market efforts as it seeks to onboard more consumer brands and marketing teams. The company is also focused on refining its brand-learning models to improve customization and output quality across different industries and content styles.
Bevyl enters a competitive market that includes established video editing and AI content tools, but it is positioning itself specifically around branded, high-volume short-form video production rather than general-purpose editing. This focus on brand-specific automation is intended to differentiate it from broader creative tools by embedding marketing intelligence directly into the editing workflow.
With fresh backing from Launchpad Venture Group and HearstLab, Bevyl is now focused on scaling its platform as it looks to capture a share of the rapidly expanding AI-driven marketing automation space, where demand for fast, consistent, and high-performing video content continues to accelerate.
