Asseta AI Raises $4.2M Seed Led by Nyca Partners and Motive Partners to Modernize Family Office Infrastructure

Asseta AI, a New York–based fintech startup building modern accounting and financial infrastructure for family offices, has secured $4.2 million in seed funding to accelerate its product development and expand its team as demand grows for purpose‑built tools in the complex world of ultra‑high‑net‑worth wealth management.

The seed round was co‑led by investors Nyca Partners and Motive Partners, two firms with deep experience backing financial technology companies and infrastructure platforms. The capital will be used to broaden Asseta AI’s engineering, product, and customer success teams, as well as to roll out new capabilities in forecasting, planning, and performance insights on top of its existing platform.

Asseta AI was founded in 2023 by CEO Dean Palmiter and CTO Daniel Kennedy to tackle a persistent gap in family office operations: the lack of modern, integrated systems capable of handling multi‑entity accounting, reporting, and data governance at scale. The company’s flagship product, The Intelligent Family Office Suite™, is designed to replace spreadsheets and legacy financial systems that many family offices still rely on, empowering users to manage complex portfolios with greater clarity, control, and operational efficiency.

According to Asseta AI, the platform already supports more than $10 billion in assets under management across its client base, with particularly strong adoption among larger family offices—nearly one‑third of customers oversee more than $1 billion in assets. That uptake underscores growing interest among ultra‑high‑net‑worth families and their advisers in tools that can unify disparate financial data, improve reporting accuracy, and streamline back‑office workflows.

Family offices are private wealth management entities set up to handle the financial and administrative affairs of affluent individuals or families. These operations often manage highly complex portfolios spanning multiple legal entities, investment types, and jurisdictions, yet many still rely on manual processes and disconnected systems that struggle to keep pace with expanding regulatory, tax, and reporting demands. Asseta AI’s founders argue that this disconnect has created fertile ground for a next‑generation platform designed specifically for these use cases.

The company’s seed funding arrives amid a broader shift toward digital transformation in wealth management, as more organizations seek to harness automation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence to improve decision‑making and operational resilience. Asseta AI’s focus on institutional‑grade infrastructure reflects this trend, positioning its Intelligent Family Office Suite™ not just as a back‑office tool, but as a central system of record that can integrate accounting, investments, reporting, and governance across entities.

In statements accompanying the funding announcement, leaders from both investor firms highlighted the strategic opportunity they see in Asseta AI’s vision. Motive Partners emphasized the underserved nature of the family office technology market and praised the startup’s ability to leverage modern AI and data orchestration techniques to deliver a best‑in‑class vertical product. Nyca Partners pointed to its investment thesis around combining human expertise and machine intelligence, and framed Asseta AI as emblematic of that approach within the wealth management domain.

The seed capital will support the company’s efforts to expand beyond its core general ledger and reporting functions into more advanced modules that help family offices plan, forecast, and gain deeper insights into performance across portfolios. Building out these capabilities is part of a broader strategy to make Asseta AI an indispensable tool for firms that require both precision and agility in financial operations—a combination that legacy systems often struggle to deliver.

As family offices navigate increasingly complex investments and a growing wave of generational wealth transfer, demand for modern infrastructure like that being built by Asseta AI is expected to rise. With its new funding and expanding customer base, Asseta AI aims to carve out a leading position in this niche but economically significant corner of the financial technology landscape.
