AnySignal Raises $24 Million Series A to Expand Advanced RF Connectivity and Space Communications Platforms

AnySignal, the El Segundo, California–based technology company building advanced radio frequency (RF) connectivity, sensing, and communications platforms for space, defense, and industrial applications, has steadily advanced its funding trajectory since launching in 2022, securing backing from a blend of venture capital firms and strategic investors to support its growth and product development.

In December 2025, AnySignal announced that it had raised $24 million in Series A funding to scale production of its wireless systems, accelerate development of hardware and software products used in space communications and national security missions, and build a consolidated facility in the Los Angeles area to bring design and manufacturing under one roof. The company will use the investment to expand its RF platform capabilities across mission-critical domains such as space communication, autonomous systems, electronic warfare, and radar systems.

The Series A round was led by Upfront Ventures, a Los Angeles–based venture capital firm known for early stage investments in technology companies. Participation in the round came from other notable backers, including BlueYard Capital, First In Ventures, and additional strategic investors drawn to AnySignal’s mission of modernizing RF communication infrastructure for demanding environments.

Before the Series A, AnySignal had already attracted early support from investors during its seed funding efforts. In October 2023, the company closed an oversubscribed $5 million seed round that provided initial capital for product development, expanded research and development capacity, and helped execute on a growing backlog of commercial and government contracts. That seed round included participation from a group of investors such as BlueYard Capital, First In Ventures, Also Capital, Acequia Capital, and Caffeinated Capital, as well as several strategic angel investors who recognized the potential of AnySignal’s radio platform.

This progression from seed to Series A reflects growing investor confidence in AnySignal’s approach to redefining how RF capabilities are delivered for high‑risk and high‑demand applications, including satellite communications, national security systems, and other autonomous platforms. The company’s founders have built a technology stack that combines algorithm design, ruggedized hardware, and cloud services in an integrated solution, enabling customers to detect, understand, and act on signals faster in environments where traditional communication systems can struggle.

The seed funding not only provided the resources to grow production and R&D capacity, but also helped establish foundational partnerships that paved the way for the more substantial Series A financing. With the earlier round attracting participation from multiple venture firms, AnySignal was able to demonstrate early product validation and customer interest, which in turn helped attract larger investors like Upfront Ventures in its later round.

Since raising its Series A, AnySignal has positioned itself to scale manufacturing and expand its capabilities in both space and defense markets, with a focus on producing systems that can operate reliably in contested and congested electromagnetic environments. The company’s products serve critical functions for missions in low Earth orbit (LEO), geostationary orbit (GEO), and beyond, with multiple spacecraft already scheduled to launch using AnySignal radios and network services.

Leadership at AnySignal, including co‑founder and CEO John Malsbury, former head of signal processing at SpaceX, has emphasized that the company’s vertically integrated model—designing everything from algorithms to high‑rate manufacturing—can deliver new capabilities much faster than traditional RF system workflows, enabling adaptation to evolving threats without requiring complete hardware replacement.

The combination of strategic investor support, early product deployment, and a clear roadmap for scaling operations has helped AnySignal secure a strong financial footing as it grows its presence in the aerospace and defense technology landscape. With backing from venture capital firms spanning early‑stage to growth‑oriented investors, the company’s funding history underscores broad interest in technologies that enhance connectivity, sensing, and resilient communications infrastructure for mission‑critical applications.
